Assistant Professor - Math

We invite applications for an assistant professor position in mathematics. The successful candidate is expected to first and foremost be an excellent teacher at all levels of mathematics. He/she should be especially motivated to teach at the algebra and pre-algebra levels. Additionally, all faculty members are expected to fulfill research, service, and advising responsibilities as delineated in the Husson University Faculty Handbook. Candidates with research interests in the areas of number theory, topology, network theory, quantum computation, and mathematics education will be given priority, but an overlap with current departmental research is not required.

This is a full-time 9-month ranked faculty position in the School of Science and Humanities. Participation in evaluative processes and departmental affairs may require a campus presence from the last two weeks in August through the end of May.


Education: Doctorate—Ph.D. in Mathematics or closely related field, Master’s degree with exceptional teaching experience will also be considered at the lecturer level.

Experience:Full-time teaching experience in basic mathematics strongly preferred.
