Husson University's Northern Maine (Presque Isle), Southern Maine (Westbrook) and Bangor campuses will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 due to inclement weather. All scheduled classes and campus events for the day have been cancelled.
The following operations will not be open: Wiley's Cafe, Cressy Marketplace, and the Eagle Grab n Go.
The Dickerman Dining Center will be open for three meals as usual. Breakfast and lunch will be available at regularly scheduled hours. (Breakfast from 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) Dinner hours will be reduced to 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in order to provide employees with an opportunity to make it home safely.
Two previously scheduled on-campus events have been rescheduled for later dates.
1. Our joint programming for small businesses with the Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC) originally scheduled to take place at the Richard E. Dyke Center for Family Business on January 27, has been postponed until February 10. Subsequent sessions scheduled for February 24 and March 24 will take place as planned.
2. Jon Imber's Left Hand, a new documentary about an artist's battle with ALS, original scheduled to be screened at the Gracie Theatre on January 27 at 7:00 p.m. will now be shown at the same time and location on March 24.
Depending on the significance of the storm, Husson University may also need to delay opening or close on Wednesday, January 28. We will post announcements on our website and send out additional communication by 5:30 a.m. Wednesday that will update you on any possible delays or closings. If nothing is posted, that means we will be resuming our regular class schedule.
