Campus Communication

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

As you have no doubt learned by now, the life of Stephen Colvin, a sophomore Environmental Studies student and linebacker on the football team, was tragically cut short earlier today as the result of a skiing accident.

In an effort to come together and provide solace to the members of our campus community, Husson University will be holding a memorial in Stephen’s honor.  This memorial will serve as a tribute to Stephen’s life and the profound impact he made on friends, faculty and teammates at Husson University.  We will provide you with more details about this event in the coming days.

If you are experiencing emotional challenges as a result of Stephen’s passing, we encourage you to contact Husson University’s Counseling Services Center (CSC).  The CSC provides free, confidential services to all Husson and NESCom students.  Counselors are there to provide an objective and supportive environment.

In addition, students, who feel they need spiritual counseling are welcome to contact Chaplain Sarah Pringle-Lewis.  Her office is open to anyone looking for support.

I am deeply appreciative of the many acts of kindness and generosity extended by the members of our campus community to one another as we come together in the face of our sadness.  Our ability to help and support each other is what allows us to persevere in times of adversity.

Sincerely,

Dr. Robert A. Clark
