Post-Master's Nursing Certificates

Move ahead in your nursing career with a Post-Master’s Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certificate from Husson. These 100% online programs are for nurse practitioners seeking to gain expertise with another NP population. Choose from three track options: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Prepare to add a further certification to your nurse practitioner qualifications with a Post-Master’s APRN Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. You will further develop the knowledge and skills necessary to provide advanced nursing care across acute care settings, under the guidance of expert faculty in active practice. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to sit for the ANCC certification exam as Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or the AACN certification exam as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Adult Gerontology.

To earn your Post-Master’s Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, you will need to complete 18-48 credits, depending on your MSN program.

Family Nurse Practitioner

Prepare to deliver expert and compassionate care to individuals and families in a primary care setting with the Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate. You’ll learn from experienced, practicing faculty, following a curriculum designed to ensure you can work successfully with patients across the lifespan and with traditional, nontraditional and culturally diverse families. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to sit for the ANCC or AANP Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam.

To earn your Post-Master’s Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner, you will need to complete 18-48 credits, depending on your MSN program.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Help improve access to mental healthcare across the lifespan, from childhood to the elderly population by earning a Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate.  Your courses will be delivered 100% online by experienced faculty in active practice.  By gaining this additional clinical credential, you’ll be eligible to sit for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC Certification Exam.

To earn your Post-Master’s Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner, you will need to complete 18-51 credits, depending on your MSN program.
