Before joining the Husson faculty, Douglas worked approximately 10 years in accounting and finance, including three years at the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse and five years of the Manager of Financial Reporting at a Fortune 500 corporation. He then practiced corporate law in a 20-person law firm in New Jersey for five years. Finally, he was the General Counsel, and ultimately President of a casino company for seven years. Finance is probably the most math-intensive concentration in the School of Business and Management. I therefore assign my students many calculation problems. However, a good business executive needs many other skills: including writing, speaking and asking the right questions. I try to design my courses to address all those skills, through case studies, group work, reports and presentations.
