EAGLEWeek 2024 Registration Is Now Open

August 25th - 30th 2024

EAGLEWeek is the right choice for you! By the time the rest of the new students have arrived on campus, you will have explored all campus resources, practiced real college learning, visited some of the local hotspots, found your classrooms for your fall schedule, and made new connections and friendships with your peers. In short, you will have acquired a head start on college life before classes begin. There is no better way to start your college career at Husson!

As part of our continued commitment to ensure our students begin their college careers well prepared, the Center for Student Success is pleased to offer EAGLEWeek — a pre-semester program for select students designed to make your transition as smooth as possible, and we're committed to providing you with the support you need to succeed.

We understand that starting college can be overwhelming, which is why we're committed to providing you with the support you need to succeed. The Center for Student Success is here to help, and we're thrilled to offer EAGLEWeek as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that our students are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

What can you expect during EAGLEWeek?

A '"jump start!" You will get a head start on exploring all Husson has to offer! During EAGLEWeek you will build social connections with your peers while having fun and exploring the Greater Bangor area. Here are just a few advantages of the program:

  • Arriving early for the fall semester and getting settled into your residence hall;
  • Meeting other new Husson students and beginning to make connections;
  • Getting an introduction to campus services that will help you make a confident start at Husson University;
  • Receiving individualized academic advising and coaching from key staff throughout the fall semester;
  • Connecting with an EAGLEWeek Peer Mentor - an upper-level student who is here to help you become the best college student you can be and who will support you as you navigate your first semester of college;
  • Enjoying pre-semester recreational activities on and off-campus

A unique and integral component of EAGLEWeek is an introduction to the classroom. We provide students a head start through early instruction with their College Writing (EH 105) instructor. A few more things you will gain from meeting and working with your EH 105 instructor:

  • Classroom standards at college
  • How to actively participate in a classroom setting
  • A head start on one of your general education courses at Husson
