2022 Husson University Culture Night to Present Music, Dance and Poetry from Different Countries and Ethnic Traditions

WHAT: After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Husson students from a variety of international countries and ethnic traditions will resume sharing expressions of their cultures as part of the University’s 2022 Culture Night. It is widely considered one of the most popular student events held on Husson’s campus. Prior to the pandemic, over 300 Husson University students attended this exciting and colorful talent showcase at the Gracie Theatre.

The event will include student performances of music, dance and poetry from cultures around the world. Many of the students wear traditional apparel from their native countries during the event.

WHO:  The event is hosted by Husson University’s African Student Association and International Student Association. It is sponsored by Husson University’s Offices of Student Life and Student Activities.

The African Students Association is a multicultural student group at Husson University that promotes cultural and social awareness. The organization seeks to facilitate better communication between African students and other members of the university community, while encouraging activities that build bridges of understanding.

The International Student Association is a student-led group that strives to promote diversity within Husson’s community. The organization provides support to international students and allows them to find their voice and place on campus. The goal of this organization is to allow students to be who they are, regardless of their place of origin.

Husson University’s Office of Student Life is charged with providing a variety of activities and services that enhance and extend the educational experience of Husson students. Within 

Student Life is the Office of Student Activities. This department provides Husson students with a wide variety of activities and programs designed to engage and enrich the campus community. Working closely with Student Government and the University's 50+ clubs/organizations, students are encouraged to get involved in the many educational, cultural, and social programs Husson offers.
