Fitness and Recreation

There are a wide variety of recreational opportunities provided for Husson students on and off campus. These opportunities allow for both individual, groups, and club- and student-created teams to enhance their college experience. These activities might include:

  • Intramural activities (volleyball, basketball, floor hockey, dodge ball, stickball, soccer, water polo and much more)
  • Whitewater rafting trips
  • Hiking trips
  • Leisure walking paths
  • Local and regional downhill skiing opportunities
  • Cross country skiing opportunities
  • Snowboarding & tubing
  • Overnight camping
  • Kite flying & Frisbee competition
  • Mountain biking
  • State-of-the-Art Fitness center
  • Aerobics
  • Swimming
  • Tai Chi
  • Kayaking & Canoeing
  • Snowshoeing
  • Roller-skating & bowling
  • Running
  • Dancing

Student clubs and organizations sponsor many student activities and are a good place to start to get involved. Or you may want to start your own club if you have an interest not yet represented. If so, Student Government can help you with that. Opportunities for intramural activities are publicized in the Newman Gymnasium. Student Resident Assistants (RAs) also organize many activities in the residence halls. And finally, the Student Activities Office offers a variety of activities on a weekly basis. Getting involved is a big part of your college experience and Husson has lots of opportunities for you to check out!
