Welcome to the School of Pharmacy at Husson University. Our mission is to prepare students for success and leadership in the rapidly-evolving field of pharmacy. Founded in 2006, our first class earned their Doctorate of Pharmacy in May, 2013.
Here at Husson University you will find a credentialed and accessible faculty with expertise in a variety of areas within the profession, ready to help guide you toward success. They are dedicated to making teaching a priority, promoting excellence in the classroom and creating a student-centered learning environment. There are numerous opportunities to gain practical experience through research projects with professors and exposure to hands-on practice settings across the United States. The University’s addition of a new dedicated research laboratory on the campus, as well as The Husson University Research Institute, a state-of-the-art research facility located nearby the campus, have provided many of our basic science researchers excellent opportunities in their respective fields of study.
Our students come from across the United States and from around the world. We welcome the diversity of cultures, ideas, and perspectives that are inherent in such a mix of students. These students have made a significant difference at the university and in the local community through thousands of hours of volunteer work. The students and faculty members have also helped to revitalize the state pharmacy organizations and have helped to improve and expand the profession of pharmacy within the state.
Husson University is an exciting place to be, with a wide array of student activities, athletic events, recreational facilities and cultural events. Bangor, Maine, is a wonderful small city with an area population of nearly 60,000, where you will find access to all types of outdoor recreational activities, restaurants and events.
I encourage you to explore our website, or better yet, visit our campus, meet our faculty and tour our facilities. I hope you will find Husson University is the right place for you.
