Parking Rules and Regulations

Welcome. This year's parking rules and regulations are simpler and easier to understand. There are a limited amount of parking spaces available creating a need for organized parking. There are five basic rules to follow to avoid getting ticketed:

  • 1) Don't park in a handicapped space if you don't have a handicapped placard or plate.
  • 2) Parking in Fire lanes is prohibited. Fire Lanes are Tow Zones.
  • 3) Park only in paved parking spaces that you are allowed to park in. There is absolutely no parking on the grass anywhere on campus.
  • 4) Observe the 20 mph speed limit around the College Circle and 15 mph around the resident halls.
  • 5) Don't park in No Parking Zones or on the diagonal lines.

95% of all tickets can be avoided by observing these rules.

Visitor passes are available through both the RD/RAs and the Security Office. There is a $50 charge for decals and no charge for Visitor Passes. There is a requirement of providing the vehicle's registration though.

Decal Placement

A picture of a car from the back, showing where the parking decal is to be placed--on the left bottom corner of the rear window.

The decal goes outside on the driver's side lower rear window. An example of the decal placement is above. A Visitor's Pass or Temporary Pass is hung from the rear view mirror facing the front of the vehicle.
