The Husson University School of Pharmacy held its 7th Annual White Coat Ceremony on Sunday, October 4th. A white coat is presented to each first-year pharmacy student as a symbol of their being accepted into the profession. Ms. Patricia Kienle, Director of Accreditation and Medication Safety for Cardinal Health Innovation Delivery Solutions, provided the keynote address for the event. She spoke about what it means to be a professional and how they can get the best out of the education experience ahead of them. At the end of the ceremony, the newly selected Chair of the Husson University School of Pharmacy Alumni Board, Dr. Lisa Pinkham, led the student pharmacists in reciting the “Oath of the Pharmacist.” Students, family, friends, faculty and staff celebrated this professional milestone at a reception following the ceremonies. The afternoon’s event and reception were funded through a generous grant from the Rite Aid Corporation.
