'Broadway's Next H!t Musical' wraps up the 2011/12 season at Husson's Gracie Theatre

Its Broadway's Next H!t Musical and its coming to Bangor's version of "off-Broadway"; Husson University's Gracie Theatre, conveniently located at 1 College Circle. The show plays one-night only on Friday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.
The hysterical Broadway's Next H!T Musical is the only unscripted theatrical awards show. Master improvisers gather made-up song suggestions from the audience and create a spontaneous evening of music, humor, and laughter. The audience votes for their favorite song and watches as the cast turns it into a full-blown improvised musical - complete with memorable characters, witty dialogue, and plot twists galore. Under the direction of improv veterans Rob Schiffman and Deb Rabbai, TheaterWeek hailed the show as "brilliant" and The New York Post called Broadway's Next H!t Musical "remarkable".
"Broadway's Next H!t Musical marks the final show of an exciting year for the Gracie Theatre," says Jeri Misler, who, in her first year as managing director, has hosted a broad range of events in the intimate and acoustically impressive theatre. "The Gracie is the area's newest non-profit venue that, like the City of Bangor, is on the verge of tremendous growth. Shows like Broadway's Next H!t Musical are running in NYC and larger cities and I am pleased to have such high quality entertainment here."
Misler finds running the Gracie both fun and challenging as she continues to learn what area audiences like to see and how to spread the word about the Gracie. One announcement she's excited to share this summer is the Gracie's inaugural season starting this fall. Misler promises, "Our inaugural season will have something that is sure to appeal to everyone."
