The library currently has five laptops available to borrow on a first-come, first-serve basis. The laptops must be used in the library and borrowers will need their own rewritable CD or Flash drive to save their work.
Borrowing Procedures
Laptops must be checked out in person at the Circulation Desk. Only one laptop can be checked out per person.
Laptops must be used in the Library.
Return the laptop to a library staff member at the Circulation Desk.

Equipment: Laptop with Intel Pentium Processor, 1.6 MHz, 55.8g Hard Drive, DVD/CD-RW drive; Battery; Powercord.
Software: Microsoft Office, MS Works, Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0, Quicktime, Real Player, Windows Media Player, Norton AntiVirus, MSN Messenger.
Connecting, Printing, Saving
Each laptop is equipped with a battery that will last approximately 1-2 hours, and with a network card for access to the wireless network anywhere in the library. Simply turn the laptop on and logon: User Name = student; Password = student.
The laptops are configured to print to the printer at the circulation desk only.
A rewritable CD, Flash drive or external floppy drive is required to save work.
Security
Never leave a laptop unattended. The borrower is responsible for the laptop until it is returned and checked in.
Personal software may not be loaded onto the laptop.
Do not save personal documents to the laptop hard drive. These files are not password protected and will be accessible to anyone who uses the laptop.
Periodically the hard drive will be checked and all user-saved files will be deleted.
