School of Extended Learning - Continuing Education
Where you can get your Husson degree at the times and places that are right for you
Continuing Education at Husson
- Undergraduate study for the non-traditional student
Husson's
Division of Extended Learning - Continuing Education serves adults who, because of work
schedules, geographic locations, or other responsibilities, wish to
attend classes in the evening or on Saturdays.
Husson's Continuing Education Division is a program for adults who
want to earn a Husson degree at times and places that are convenient to
them. It is also a program for people who want to take challenging
college classes to complement their existing education. Whether
you want to earn a college degree, or simply add to your education one
course at a time, Husson's Continuing Education Division offers you a
way to take Husson classes at times and places that are convenient to
you. With three locations -- Bangor, South Portland, and Presque Isle
-- and numerous evening courses, we're making a fine Husson education
available to a wide variety of people.
The Continuing Education Division offers undergraduate study at the main campus in Bangor as well as at satellite campuses located in South Portland, Presque Isle
and Calais (Unobskey College). All campuses offer a variety of majors;
the exact programs available depend on the needs of the particular
community.
Continuing Education students find their primary support from the
Directors or Coordinators of the Bangor, Presque Isle, South Portland and Calais satellite
campuses. Academic support such as library and technology services are available at all sites.
- You can keep your job and go to classes at night.
- You can take a course load that fits your already busy life.
- You can stay close to home while pursuing your educational goals, if you live near one of our three locations.
- You can transfer a number of your credits from previous accredited college courses toward your Husson degree. Contact a site director for a free college credit evaluation.
A CED degree is a Husson degree; there is no distinction between them. The CED program is just as rigorous and respected as the degrees given to students in Husson's day-school programs. We are particularly attuned to the concerns of adult learners, who have jobs and families. We recognize that students in this program tend to be especially courageous, hard-working and committed to their dreams. This program is designed for just that kind of person. If you are interested in finding out more about studying at Husson through the Continuing Education Division, please review this website and feel free to contact the Director of your local Husson CED site. All new degree-seeking students should arrange to meet with their site director for transfer credit evaluations and to receive other information.
