THE BOAT SCHOOL in EASTPORT, MAINE
An affiliate of Husson University, The Boat School in Eastport, Maine, is the oldest build-building school of its kind in the United States. Located on Moose Island, Maine, but connected to the mainland via a causeway, the school is situated in one Maine's most beautiful environs, along the U.S./Canadian water border and looks across the water at the famous Campobello Island and points east--the first in the U.S. to greet the morning sun.
The Boat School offers three affordable programs in marine industries:
- One-year Certificate in Boatbuilding Technology
- One-year Certificate in Marine Composites
- Two-year Diploma in Boatbuilding Technology
With complete facilities for marine technology training in a state-of-the-art working boat yard, the school is just minutes from downtown Eastport, home to 1,600 people (winter population), blossoming to 5,000+ with summer visitors.
