Loan Entrance & Exit Counseling

To insure that borrowers understand their rights and obligations, federal loan programs require that students take part in entrance and exit counseling. Husson schedules entrance counseling at the beginning of each semester for first time borrowers, and we also provide links to online counseling sessions.

Direct Loan Entrance Counseling (For entering students):
First time borrowers at Husson University are required to complete student loan entrance counseling before receiving loan proceeds. The purpose of the entrance counseling is to provide the student with important information regarding their rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower. In addition, Graduate PLUS loan borrowers are required to complete entrance counseling prior to receiving loan proceeds.

Direct Loan Entrance Counseling Tutorial

To complete this process on your own, please follow the instructions below:

Direct Loan Exit Counseling (For students who are leaving or graduating from Husson University)
Students who have borrowed Federal Loans while attending Husson University must complete exit counseling prior to leaving the University. The purpose of exit counseling is to provide the student with important information regarding loan repayment, including deferments, grace periods, loan consolidation, and loan default. You will be mailed a letter shortly after separating from the school that will instruct you on exit counseling.
