Sometimes a student or family's circumstances change after the initial application and award is made. The Husson University Financial Aid Office will make every effort to consider requests for reconsideration of our aid decisions based on economic and family changes.

If such a situation applies to you, the student or parent(s) may submit a letter of appeal to our office, located on the first floor of the Robert O'Donnell Commons. In the letter:

  • Specifically state that you are requesting a review of your financial aid award and the reason for the review.
  • Provide specific information and documentation so that we are as informed as possible when we make our review.  

International students, who do not receive U.S. Federal Title IV financial aid, must complete the International Student Assistance Grant request, available at the Financial Aid Office, in order to be considered for additional financial support. Please see or email Jennie Gavin for any international requests.

Students submitting appeals will be contacted by the appropriate Financial Aid Counselor regarding the request as soon as all required documentation has been received and the file review is completed.
