Tricia VanKirk's course interests are in the human sciences: Anatomy & Physiology, Pathophysiology, Chemistry and Nutrition. She joined the faculty at Husson University in 2005 and has taught at many of the area colleges throughout her career.
Tricia is completing her PhD at the University of Maine. Her research is focused on the ion channel activity in the cardiac pacemaker. Her work specifically looks at the pharmacological effects and anti-oxidant properties of melatonin as it relates to cardiac function in Drosophila melanogaster.

A versatile broadcast and video professional with more than 25+ years of production, management and supervisory experience including studio and field productions, directing, producing and facility design. He has designed and built broadcast control systems and spaces, studios and mobile production units.
Over the years Rodney has worked closely with many networks including Fox, CBS and ESPN. Rodney holds a B.A. degree from NESCom and is a Certified Final Cut Pro Editor; Certified EVS Operator; Grass Valley Kayak Operator; and 23 years teaching and 15 years advising video students. Rodney lives in Carmel with his wife and two sons and enjoys watching his kids participate in sports on the field and the court; he has a passion for all things sports related and the Maine outdoors.
Twenty-five years in video production and broadcast television has developed my perspective of broadcast technology, video production, computer networks and business efficiency. This has guided my teaching style to the students here at NESCom. It is my personal goal to ensure students are gleaning all they can from every moment and experience they have at NESCom will ensure they are getting the essence of what communication productions is all about. It is my hope that they will graduate ready to take on the career they have chosen in the vast, and growing and changing world of communications.
