Nurses are uniquely situated to improve the health and wellbeing of the community. The art of nursing extends beyond direct comfort and care to the ability to inform health systems and public policy about the best ways to meet the needs of the public. I welcome the opportunity to introduce future nurses to their amazing power and potential.

I am excited to be a part of your educational experience here at Husson University! I enjoy classroom, small group, and one-to-one learning interactions. I learn every time I step into an interaction with students. I agree with Ben Sidaway that Husson is the place for the student who wants to find the answers to the questions of why and how the human body moves and functions, followed by the questions about prevention and rehabilitation of people with injuries and diseases that affect the body's function!
Jeanne-Ann completed her Diploma in nursing from St Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, her BSN and MSN from University of Maine. She has over 30 years nursing experience, and continues to maintain current critical care and nursing supervision roles. Jeanne-Ann has experience in both home health nursing and hospice care. She has been an adjunct nursing faculty member at University of Maine and Husson University prior to accepting her undergraduate nursing faculty position.
The nursing education at Husson University reminds me of the nurturing involved program of study I experienced many years ago in my diploma program of studies. Husson affords the faculty an opportunity to truly know the student and to assist the student nurse to become an outstanding professional nurse. I believe, as Ruth Whittman-Price stated, "every nursing student deserves nurse educators who can best facilitate his or her journey toward becoming a successful professional nurse.
