Biography

The intersection of business, technology and education has been an important theme in Scott Traylor’s life. Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University as a member of one of the first incoming classes in the nation required to have a personal computer. After an early career in business Scott returned to college to pursue his interest in teaching and technology by undertaking coursework in education at Rutgers University. While in Graduate School at Rutgers, Scott served as adjunct faculty in the Education Department as well as an Instructional Technology Specialist, the timing of both coinciding perfectly with the advent of the Web and online learning. Suspending his graduate work in favor of the opportunities presented by this new medium Scott worked for a Canadian-backed technology startup in Maine. In 2001 Scott became a founding principal of Sephone Interactive Media, an award winning web technology and marketing company serving business clients. In 2003 Scott was asked by the New England School of Communications to create a new curriculum in web design, development and marketing, teach its courses, and serve as its director. With NESCom’s integration with Husson University in 2014, Scott continues to teach, serve and support students and develop the curriculum which continues to evolve at the intersection of business, technology and education. Scott completed his Masters of Business Administration at Husson University in 2015.
