BANGOR, MAINE – December 10, 2013 – Husson University’s School of Pharmacy (HUSOP) announced today that three members of their clinical faculty successfully earned their Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification this fall.
The faculty members earning these prestigious certifications included:
• Dr. Stephanie Nichols. Dr. Nichols passed the Psychiatric Pharmacy Board Examination and is now a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP) in addition to her existing credentials as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
• Dr. Allison Strobel. Dr. Storbel passed the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Board Examination and is now a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP).
• Dr. Evan Williams. Dr. Williams passed the Pharmacotherapy Pharmacy Board Examination and is now a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
These certifications are the highest practicing pharmacists can attain.

Larson, Ph.D., R.Ph., founding dean of the School of Pharmacy at Husson University lauded the newly certified faculty: “The fact that three of our clinical faculty successfully passed the Board of Pharmacy Specialties examinations this fall is a reflection of the caliber of our faculty and the strengths they bring to a quality program. They join HUSOP clinical faculty members Dr. Tim Gladwell, BCPS, BCACP, Dr. Dan Moellentin, BCPS, and Dr. Michael Remkus, BCPS, with an external recognition of their commitment to the practice of pharmacy. The entire school, students and faculty, are privileged to have colleagues who model excellence at such a high level.”
The Board of Pharmacy Specialties, organized in 1976, is the premier post-licensure certification agency, ensures that Board Certified Pharmacists are recognized within healthcare delivery systems while serving the needs of the public and the pharmacy profession. The mission of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties is to improve patient care by promoting the recognition and value of specialized training, knowledge, and skills in pharmacy and specialty board certification of pharmacists. They currently offer eight different areas of board certification.
