Date of Release: June 23, 2014

The University of Utah School on Alcoholism and Drug Dependencies was held from June 15 to June 20 in Salt Lake City. Lanorris Carey, Scott Milton, Dr. Brian Piper, Samual Valley, and Whitney Jandreau represented the Husson School of Pharmacy. Dr. Piper, a neuropharmacologist in the School of Pharmacy, felt this was an amazing opportunity for students and faculty alike, and will impact their practice in the future. Ms. Jandreau was selected as a student counsellor based on her prior experience with the program.
The School, which is recognized internationally, has continually expanded its scope to keep pace with increased awareness of the health and social problems of alcoholism and other drug dependencies. All areas of these problems are presented in training sessions for professional and lay personnel. The School provides students with the latest methods and techniques for working effectively in their respective disciplines.
