Cassandra White, Pharm.D., Presents at American College of Clinical Pharmacy's Annual Meeting

Cassandra White, Pharm.D., Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, represented Husson University School of Pharmacy at the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s (ACCP) Annual Meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her abstract titled, “The impact of a pharmacy resident geriatric clinic” was accepted for a poster presentation on October 15, 2013. Cassandra and co-author Alisa Hughes-Stricklett, Pharm.D., BCPS, developed the clinic to extend clinical pharmacy services to the ambulatory geriatric population with the goals of addressing polypharmacy, improving safety and appropriateness of therapy, and ensuring the patient’s understanding of his or her medications. Overall, patient meetings with Dr. White resulted in a total of 143 medications being discontinued.
