Husson University to Host Fall Open House

Date of Release: October 22, 2012

Husson University will hold its Fall Open House for undergraduate programs on Saturday, November 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bangor campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Husson’s academic and athletic programs, extra-curricular activities, and financial aid options. Those interested are encouraged to pre-register by visiting the Husson website at www.husson.edu/openhouse.

The Open House is a structured program that begins with registration at 9 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. The event includes guided campus tours of various buildings including Husson’s newest facility, the Living and Learning Center, as well as the recently renovated Dickerman Dining Center. A Student Club/Organization fair will provide attendees with an opportunity to see various extra-curricular opportunities and meet student leaders. Other offerings include a question and answer session regarding Admissions, a session on Financial Aid information, and an Athletics session.

“Our Open Houses are very well attended because students truly get an in-depth look at the University,” states Director of Admissions Carlena Bean. “They talk one-on-one with faculty, current students, representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, and Athletics, and go on guided tours of the campus, bringing them into our culture and showing them what we have to offer.”

The Open House is geared toward high school students, transfer students, and adult learners with no prior college degree, who are interested in undergraduate or entry-level programs, including the 6-year Doctor of Physical Therapy program and the 5-year Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program.

Pre-registration is encouraged and an online form is available at www.husson.edu/openhouse. Questions regarding the event should be directed to the Admissions Office at 1-800-4Husson or admit@husson.edu.
