Center for Academic Services (CAS)

The Center for Academic Services (CAS) is housed within the Dean of Students' office in 208 Peabody Hall and is the place to go for students who need student services and general academic help. The CAS also coordinates with the peer and faculty tutors who work in the newly expanded Writing and Learning Center in 210 Peabody Hall.

Services in a nutshell:

• Implementation of orientation for first-year and transfer students
• Services for students with disabilities
• Services for veterans
• Coordination of first-year student success course, The Husson Experience (HE 111)
• Study skills and time management advising
• Academic advising for Undeclared students
• Assistance with adjustment to college
• Early intervention strategies
• Facilitation of contact with Learning Lab, Tutors, and Writing Center
• Supplemental Instruction for several science courses
  

CAS Hours of Operation
The Center for Academic Services is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Center for Academic Services (CAS) is directed by John Lowe, Ph.D, Executive Director, with assistance from Sarah Pringle-Lewis, Associate Director.
