Hooding Ceremony

The graduate hooding ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 7 p.m. in the Newman Gymnasium on the Husson Bangor campus.  All students receiving either a masters or doctoral degree are encouraged to attend. Students should arrive at the gym by 6 p.m.  The hooding ceremony signifies a scholarly and personal achievement.  In a symbolic gesture of being honored, graduates remove their mortar boards just prior to being hooded.  To recognize the significance of receiving a graduate degree, each student will be hooded individually by the Dean of their school.  You should wear your cap and gown and carry your hood with you to the ceremony.   More information will be sent to you in early April.
