Students studying human anatomy in a PT lab

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) - three years

If you've been admitted, we encourage you to submit your tuition deposit to save your spot. While the priority deadline is May 1, 2019, it is possible that the incoming class will fill before that date. Deposits are accepted on a space available basis.

Students who have earned a baccalaureate degree and who have satisfactorily completed all pre-requisite courses (see Admissions criteria) may apply to enter the professional phase (year 4) of the DPT Program as graduate students. Following successful completion of the 3-year professional phase these students will receive the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. This entry-level clinical doctorate allows graduates to apply for physical therapy licensure; hence this program is not appropriate for individuals who have already earned a physical therapy degree either in the U.S. or in other countries.

The School of Physical Therapy at Husson University participates in the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS). PTCAS allows PT applicants to use a single Web-based application and one set of materials to apply to multiple PT programs.  Applicants must follow all PTCAS and program-specific instructions when applying to graduate Physical Therapy programs which use the PTCAS application system.

Graduate DPT Applicants for Fall 2020 Entry

Graduate student applicants applying for fall 2020 entry into the three-year DPT program must apply online through PTCAS, the Central Application Service for Physical Therapy programs.  PTCAS applications for Fall 2020 will be accepted at www.ptcas.org beginning July 3, 2019. Please apply early as it is time consuming to collect your supporting application materials. The PTCAS application deadline for Husson applicants, fall 2020 is December 16, 2019.

Husson University has adopted a rolling admissions process.  Completed PTCAS applications will be reviewed starting on December 16, 2019 and will continue until April 1, 2020.  Later applications will be considered for admissions on a space available basis.  Official transcripts showing evidence of completion of a Bachelor's degree must be sent to Husson's Graduate Admissions Office by the program's start date in August.
