Husson University School of Pharmacy has an opening for a full-time pharmacy practice faculty member with additional responsibilities as the school’s Field Coordinator for Institutional Site & Preceptors in Experiential Education.
Applicants from multiple clinical specialties and backgrounds will be considered. Candidates with expertise in internal medicine-acute care, community clinical practice, or ambulatory care are encouraged to apply. Candidates must possess a B. S. in Pharmacy, but Pharm.D. or PhD is preferred. The candidate should possess a strong background in all aspects of institutional or hospital pharmacy operations, hospital clinical pharmacy practice, strong people skills (constantly interacting/acting as a liaison with Preceptors and students), and the ability to travel extensively to the School’s Experiential sites throughout Maine. Prior academic experience preferred, but not required; residency, fellowship or similar professional experience a plus; must be eligible for Maine pharmacist licensure.
The Husson University School of Pharmacy is located in Bangor, Maine and is providing an innovative curriculum design and collaborative partnerships with regional healthcare practices and research entities.
The position will report directly to the Chair of the Pharmacy Practice Department and lead the experiential team to secure and maintain introductory and advanced experiential experiences.
