Husson University seeks a fulltime faculty member for its growing School of Occupational Therapy. This 10-month ranked faculty position is in the College of Health & Education. Husson is looking for a faculty member to teach entry-level occupation-based courses in our recently revised curriculum and participate in the development and teaching of new graduate-level courses. We are particularly interested in individuals who can teach content related to neurological and musculoskeletal conditions to complement existing expertise. As a faculty we are committed to our mission of preparing practitioners who engage in contemporary practice and scholarship emphasizing leadership, occupational engagement, and evidence-based critical thinking and clinical reasoning. Responsibilities of the successful applicant will include teaching, advising students and participating in service and scholarly activities.
Preferred candidates should possess an earned doctorate in occupational therapy or a relevant field. A research based doctorate is preferred; candidates who are “all but dissertation” may be considered. A minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the college/university-level and 3 years of clinical experience is preferred. Candidates who are occupational therapists must hold current certification by NBCOT and be eligible for licensure in Maine. Applicants from other professions and backgrounds must hold appropriate credentials and licenses.
