 Husson College Women's Basketball has had a long-standing tradition
of excellence for hundreds of young women over the years. Since
the conception of Women's basketball in 1940, a total of 8 NAIA
All-Americans have graced the court for the Lady Braves. Six women
have received at least second-team or honorable mentions, while
two have been named to the academic All-American squad. This is
quite an accomplishment for any athlete.
The women's
basketball tradition at Husson looks to continue under the guidance
of "Kissy" Walker, who returns to the bench to coach the Braves.
She coaches a program that has received four births in the national
tournament during the 1990's, with one of these births resulting
in a trip to the "Fabulous Four."
