Criminal Justice Administration

To be admitted to the master of science in criminal justice administration program, an applicant must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and must show promise of ability and motivation to pursue graduate-level work. This requirement is determined by the Graduate Committee based on the following factors:
  • A complete application
  • One letter of recommendation
  • Previous college or university transcript.
  • Previous work experience.

The Admissions Committee makes its determination based on a composite of factors and is aware that undergraduate grades or exam scores alone may not reflect an applicant's true potential.

Students can begin by taking up to 6 credit hours in the M.S. in Criminal Justice Administration program before their exam scores are required to be submitted to the School of Graduate Studies. Students' performance in classes taken in the program will be considered the most important factor to final admission to the program.

An application is not considered complete until the following are received:
  • Statement of Purpose essay
  • Resume (optional)
  • An application with the $50 application fee (nonrefundable).
  • Official transcripts of all previous college work.
  • One letter of recommendation.
  • Immunization Records
