Cheryl is the primary instructor for Physical Agents I and II (PT 417 & PT 418), Musculoskeletal I (PT 550) and Advanced Dissection Anatomy (PT 605). She also serves as a project advisor for the research methods sequence of courses (PT 501 - PT 604) and assists in Patient Care Seminar I and II (PT 650 & PT 652). Cheryl received her PT degree at Florida International University and completed a post-professional M.H.S. in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis. She is certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She has practiced for over 20 years in the Bangor area where she was a co-owner and co-founder of SPORT, Inc., a private practice specializing in sports medicine and orthopedic therapy. Cheryl's research interest centers on the analysis of the reliability and validity of the CPI (Clinical Performance Instrument), a tool used for the assessment of student clinical performance.

Suzanne's teaching expertise is pediatrics and educational theory. She teaches Life Cycles I and II (PT 420 & PT 520), Psychosocial Aspects of PT (PT 431) and PT as Educator, Consultant & Advocate (PT 630). Suzanne also advises research groups in the four research methods courses (PT 600 to PT 604), facilitates groups in Patient Care Seminar I and II (PT 650 & PT 652), and guides a section of Primary Health Care (PT 620). She received her PT degree from the University of Missouri and a Masters of Arts in College Teaching at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Suzanne completed her Ed.D. in higher education leadership theory at the University of Maine. She worked as pediatric physical therapist for many years before coming to Husson to assume the position of Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE). She now serves as the director of the PT program. Suzanne conducts research and has a number of peer-reviewed publications and presentations in the areas of educational processes within physical therapy programs, pedagogical practices for multicultural education, and higher education leadership.

Karen's primary responsibility in the PT program is to serve as the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE). In this capacity, Karen coordinates all the clinical affiliations that PT students complete. Karen teaches the Healthcare Communication and Documentation course (PT 432) and assists in therapeutic skills labs. She also assists in advising research projects. Karen received a bachelor's degree in biology from Albright College in Pennsylvania and a master's degree in physical therapy from Hahnemann University. Karen is a Credentialed Clinical Trainer for the APTA Clinical Instructor Education and Credentialing Program. Karen has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings; prior to coming to Husson, she was the director of rehabilitation services at a local hospital. Her area of clinical interest is in neurological physical therapy while her research focus centers on pedagogical issues in physical therapy education.

At Husson, Art teaches Therapeutic Skills III and IV (PT 515 & PT 516) and Musculoskeletal II (PT 552). He also teaches an advanced elective course that focuses on manual therapy for the spine (PT 615). In addition, Art is a project advisor for the research methods sequence of courses (PT 501 – PT 604) and assists in Patient Care Seminar I and II (PT 650 & PT 652). Art's clinical expertise is in orthopaedics, sports medicine and manual therapy and is an instructor for the Ola Grimsby Institute of manual therapy. Art received a B.Sc. (hons.) degree in Athletic Training from York University in Canada and then an M.A. in physical education from Indiana State University. He received his PT degree and his Ph.D. in physical education from the University of Iowa. Art has a certificate in orthopaedic manual therapy from the Norwegian Board of Examiners. Prior to coming to Husson, Art taught PT at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. Art's research interests center on the application of kinesiological principles in physical therapy and he has a number of presentations in his area of expertise.

Wayne received a Bachelor of Arts and Science with a major in Anthropology, a Master of Physical Therapy and a PhD in Biomechanics and Movement Science from the University of Delaware. Following completing of a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Wayne taught for three years in the physical therapy program at East Carolina University as an assistant professor before joining Husson University. He is interested in the effects of electrical stimulation parameters on muscle performance as well as the effects of chronic disease on muscle and how exercise interventions can address impairments in populations with chronic diseases.

Ben is the primary instructor for first gross anatomy lab course (PT 410) and is the director of Husson's Dahl Anatomy Lab. He also teaches Neurophysiology (PT 450), Motor Control and Learning (PT 412) and Research Methods V (PT 603). Ben also serves as a project advisor for the research methods sequence of courses (PT 501 - PT 604) and assists in Patient Care Seminar I and II (PT 650 & PT 652). Ben is originally from England, where he completed his B.Sc. (hons.) in Kinesiology and Ecology. He received his M.A. in Motor Behavior and Biomechanics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his Ph.D. in Motor Control/Learning from Penn State University, and PT degree from Husson. Prior to joining Husson, he was an associate professor in the Kinesiology Department at Louisiana State University. He has an extensive research background in Motor Control/Learning and Biomechanics with over 80 published, peer-reviewed papers and abstracts. His current research focuses on the use of motor control and learning principles in treating clinical populations. Ben serves as the director of Husson's state-of-the-art Kenduskeag Human Performance Lab.

Sondra's teaching expertise is in the areas of neurological rehabilitation. She teaches the Neuromuscular I and II courses (PT 510 & PT 610) along with Rehabilitation of Chronic Condition (PT 530). Sondra is also responsible for coordinating the Patient Care courses (PT 650 & PT 652) and Research Methods VI (PT 652). She received he B.A. in Near Eastern Studies from the University of California at Berkeley and then went on to get her PT degree at Washington University in St. Louis and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Emory University. Sondra's clinical experience has focused on neurological physical therapy, with particular emphasis on the rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injury. Her research interests are focused on the examination of treatment techniques for the patients with neurological lesions including the efficacy of body weight support in improving gait in patients with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. She has a number of peer-reviewed publications and presentations in the neuroscience area. Sondra serves as the chair of Husson's Institutional Review Board that examines the use of human subjects in research projects.

Kim received her Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in Amherst, NY in 1989 and her Master of Health Science Degree in 2005 from the University of Indianapolis. She has clinical and administrative experience in several settings, including geriatrics, acute care, and orthopedics, with speciality training in wound care. She was previously the Program Director for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Michiana College in South Bend, Indiana. Kim has been an Instructor at Husson University since 2002, and her present position is that of Co-Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education, with related teaching duties. She is the primary instructor for PT 415, Therapeutic Skills I. Her other teaching and lab responsibilities are in the therapeutic skills and physical agents courses.

Eric is the primary instructor for Advanced Physiology (PT 505), Kinesiology and Biomechanics (PT 411), Geriatrics (PT 599) and Health and Wellness (PT 618). He also serves as a project advisor for the research methods sequence of courses (PT 501 - PT 604) and assists in Patient Care Seminar I and II (PT 650 & PT 652). Eric received a bachelor's degree from the department of physical education at Brigham Young University and then a physical therapy master's degree from Des Moines University. His Ph.D. is in exercise science from Brigham Young University. Eric's research interest centers on health and wellness issues such as the role of impact force in the maintenance of bone density in females. His work in this area has lead to a number of published abstracts and presentations. Eric is currently the chair of the Admissions Committee for the physical therapy program and Husson's Wellness Committee.
