The Husson University Law School will hold an Open House on Tuesday, November 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Center for Family Business on the Husson campus in Bangor. Law School Dean Michael Mullane will present information for people interested in learning more about the school and to answer questions about the program. "This is a wonderful opportunity for people who are interested in joining the legal profession in service to the larger community of Northern Maine," said Dean Mullane. "We will be presenting information about how to apply and begin the process of becoming a law student and an update on where we are with our petition to the Supreme Judicial Court." The Husson Law School has hired a team of three law professors as its core faculty. All have taught at law schools including Maine Law School and Harvard Law. The program will be headquartered and taught on the Husson campus in Bangor. "We have brought all we have learned about legal education and the practice of law to Husson and have created a cutting edge curriculum that is focused on preparing people to enter the legal profession as practicing lawyers" said Dean Mullane. Law school classes will be scheduled in the late afternoon and evenings to accommodate place bound working adult learners as well as traditional students. Initial classes are expected to range from 30 to 50 in size with scheduling designed for full-time and part-time students. Questions should be directed to Dean Mullane at 207.941.1970 or mullanem@husson.edu
